What is happening?
SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Holyhead Road, Wednesbury)
(Temporary One-Way Road Closure) and (King Street, Wednesbury) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Holyhead Road, Wednesbury which will be closed one-way in a north westerly direction from the roundabout at the junction of Dudley Street to the junction with St James Street (south east side) and King Street, Wednesbury which will be closed from the junction of Queen Street (southern side) for adistance of 20 metres in a southerly direction (access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits). Holyhead Road (one-way road closure) The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 06/10/2025 effective from 22/09/2025 (24hr). King Street (road closure) The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 21/11/2025 effective from 03/11/2025 (24hr). Purpose – To facilitate access for gas main replacement works by Cadent Gas Limited. The Borough Council of Sandwell (Bloxcidge Street, Oldbury)
(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Bloxcidge Street, Oldbury which will be closed from the junction of Joinings Bank to the southern side of property number 55 (access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits). A traffic diversion route will be signed via Joinings Bank, Vicarage Road, Jackson Street and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 29/09/2025 effective from 22/09/2025 (24hr).
