TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

(i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

BURGH CASTLE – Lords Lane from 100m east of its junction with Mill Road for 50m eastwards to facilitate new electrical connections works from 22nd to 26th September 2025 (may continue until 7th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Mill Road, Stepshort, New Road, Belton New Road, Beccles Road, Sun Lane, Sun Lane to Church Lane, Lords Lane (Burgh Castle, Bradwell, Belton with Browston). CAWSTON – C264 Easton Way from its junction with Norwich Road for 90m eastwards to facilitate new fibre network installation works from 23rd to 24th September 2025 (may continue until 5th November 2025). GREAT YARMOUTH – Stonecutters Way from its junction with Howard Street South for 120m south-westwards to facilitate borehole testing works from 23rd September to 28th October 2025 (may continue until 28th April 2026). HELLESDON – U57443 Bernham Road from its junction with Reepham Road to its junction with Woodland Road to facilitate carriageway patching works on 24th September 2025 (may continue until 5th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Reepham Road, Middletons Lane, Woodland Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

HINDOLVESTON – Fulmodeston Road from 80m east of its junction with Church Lane for 170m eastwards to facilitate telegraph pole installations works from 25th to 26th September 2025 (may continue until 7th November 2025). Alternative route is via: Fulmodeston Road, B1110 Briston Road, B1354 Briston Road, Melton Road, Melton Road, The Street (Briston, Hindolveston, Swanton Novers, Wood Norton, Melton Constable). HORSHAM AND NEWTON ST. FAITHS – U57233 Crown Road from its junction with Old Norwich Road to its junction with Back Street to facilitate BDUK defect rectification works from 22nd to 26th September 2025 (may continue until 7th November 2025). HORSTEAD WITH STANNINGHALL & COLTISHALL – B1150 Norwich Road/High Street from its junction with U51467 Causeway Drive for 20m north-eastwards to facilitate BT frame and cover renewal works between 20:00 on 23rd September and 06:00 on 24th September 2025 (may continue until 5th November 2025). SALHOUSE – U57096 Howletts Loke from 80m north of its junction with C57146 Station Road for 20m northwards to facilitate new water connection works from 23rd to 25th September 2025 (may continue until 6th November 2025). SALLE – C267 Wood Dalling Road from its junction with Reepham Road for 600m southwards to facilitate bellmouth entrance removal works from 22nd to 29th September 2025 (may continue until 10th November 2025). SPROWSTON – 1) C526 Woodside Road (southbound lane only) from its junction with Salhouse Road to its junction with Greenborough Road and 2) C283/ U61020 Salhouse Road at its junction with Woodside Road to facilitate fibre installation works, the Road 1) will be temporarily restricted (except for pedestrian access) and Road 2) will be temporarily restricted from turning left onto Woodside Road and 3) will be temporarily restricted from turning right onto Woodside Road only whilst signs indicating the closure/ restrictions are in place from 22nd September to 31st October 2025 (may continue until 6th November 2025). TUNSTEAD – U19170 Crowgate Street from 175m southwest of its junction with C397 Church Road for 40m south westwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works on 22nd September 2025 (may continue until 3rd November 2025). WOOD DALLING – C228 Heydon Road from its junction with Crabgate Lane south for 300m eastwards to facilitate works to remove bellmouth entrance from 22nd to 28th September 2025 (may continue until 9th November 2025). BUXTON AND SHIMPLING – C341 Audley End from 10m either side of its junction with B1113 Norwich Road to facilitate maintenance works between 23:30 on 29th September and 07:30 on 1st October 2025 (may continue until 11th November 2025). DEREHAM – 1) C496 Norwich Street from 25m east of its junction with C540 High Street for 40m eastwards and 2) C496 Norwich Street from 65m east of its junction with C540 High Street for 110m eastwards to facilitate reinstatement works. Road 1) will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) and Road 2) shall be temporarily subject to the suspension of the one-way system (eastbound) to allow vehicles to travel in both an easterly and westerly direction from 22nd to 23rd September 2025 (may continue until 4th November 2025). EAST WINCH AND WEST BILNEY – C64 Gayton Road from its junction with A47 for 300m westwards to facilitate lining works between 09:00 and 13:00 on 23rd September 2025 (may continue until 6th November 2025). OUTWELL – U21005 Robbs Lane from its junction with U21005 Fendyke Road for 500m south-westwards to facilitate open cut works on water strategic pipeline from 23rd September to 6th October 2025 (may continue until 17th November 2025). CROMER – St Mary’s Road from 22m west of its junction with A149 Norwich Road for 30m westwards to facilitate carriageway patching works from 10th to 12th September 2025 (previously 5th to 9th September 2025) (may continue until 24th October 2025). FAKENHAM – U10409 Long Lane from its junction with A148 Fakenham Bypass for 205m north-westwards to facilitate plane and inlay surfacing works between 20:00 and 18:00 from 15th to 16th September 2025 (may continue until 28th October 2025). Alternative route is via: A148 Fakenham Bypass, B1105 Barsham Road, U10409 Long Lane (Fakenham, Barsham, Sculthorpe). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GREAT YARMOUTH – High Street from its junction with Duke Road for 45m northwards to facilitate reinstatement and repair of manhole cover works on carriageway between 19:00 and 06:00 from 15th to 16th September 2025 (may continue until 1st November 2025). Alternative route is via: High Street, High Road, Beccles Road, Church Road, Church Lane. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

REEDHAM – Middle Hill from its junction with Riverside for 56m north-westwards to facilitate installation works for signs on carriageway from 17th to 19th September 2025 (may continue until 31st October 2025). Alternative route is via: Riverside, The Hills, Middle Hill. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

REEDHAM – Witton Green from its junction with Polkes Lane for 30m eastwards to facilitate pole testing works from 16th to 17th September 2025 (may continue until 29th October 2025). SOUTH WALSHAM – C572 Panxworth Road from 80m west of its junction with U78305 Chameryhall Lane for 30m westwards to facilitate carriageway patching works from 15th to 16th September 2025 (may continue until 27th October 2025). WELLS-NEXT-THE-SEA – Marsh Lane from its junction with High Street for 50m eastwards to facilitate new fibre duct laying works between 09:30 and 17:00 on 15th September 2025 (may continue until 27th October 2025). WOOD DALLING – U57277 Heydon Lane from its junction with C228 Crabgate Lane north to its junction with Heydon Road to facilitate bellmouth entrance removal works from 16th to 21st September 2025 (may continue until 2nd November 2025). COSTESSEY AND BAWBURGH – 1) C574 Dereham Road from its junction with A1074/Dereham Road Roundabout for 185m westwards and; 2) C162 Long Lane from its junction with A1074/2 Dereham Road Roundabout for 360m southwards and; 3) A1074/6 Dereham Road from its junction with A1074/2 Dereham Road Roundabout to its junction with A1074/10 Dereham Road Roundabout to facilitate specialist patching works between 20:00 and 05:00 from 18th to 20th September 2025 (may continue until 1st November 2025). MARLINGFORD AND COLTON – U78062 Church Lane from its junction with U78061 High House Farm Lane for 20m eastwards to facilitate frame and cover repair works from 15th to 17th September 2025 (may continue until 29th October 2025).
