North Street, Forfar - Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting

What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER

On 15 September 2025, Angus Council made The Angus Council (North Street, Forfar) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2025, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that footway works may be undertaken. The effect of the Order is to prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicles on North Street, Forfar from its junction with Market Street in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 45 metres or thereby for a period of four weeks. However, the maximum duration in terms of the act is 18 months. Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained. The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via Don Street, John Street and Market Street, Forfar. The reverse route applies.
