Moira Street - Temporary Road Closure For Gas Mains Replacement Scheme
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE MOIRA STREET, MELBOURNE
WHEN: 06 October to 30 October 2025
WHERE: Moira Street, Melbourne between its Jct. with George Street and its Jct. with Selina Street.
REASON: To facilitate gas mains replacement scheme.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: George Street, Quick Close, Selina Street and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
