Chapel Hill - Temporary Road Closure The Replacement Of Telegraph Poles

What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE CHAPEL HILL, ALDERWASLEY

WHEN: 08 October to 09 October 2025
WHERE: Chapel Hill, between its Jct. with Higg Lane and its Jct. with Pendleton Lane.
REASON: To facilitate the replacement of telegraph poles.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Higg Lane, Belper Road, Unnamed Section of Road from B5035 Wirksworth Moor to Derbyshire Dales District Boundary, Unnamed Road between junction immediately before Wigwell Farm Cottage and DDDC District Boundary, Shaws Hill, Bury Hill and vice versa.

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
