What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.29 STAVELEY (PART) & PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.34 BOLSOVER (PART)
WHEN: 8 October 2025 to 8 April 2026.
WHERE: Close Staveley footpath No.29 from
SK45821 74393 to parish boundary. Close Bolsover footpath No.34 from parish boundary to SK4586173997.
REASON: To facilitate public safety during
construction works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From the south of the closure take footpath No.13. At Seymour Link Road travel north until you meet the Clowne Branch Line. Travel east on the Clowne Branch Line until you meet footpath No.29. Vice versa from the north.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of footpaths. The footpaths will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
