Stilton / Washingley / Morborne - Temporary Traffic Orders

What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Footpath Between Manor Road & Cooper Thornhill Road, Stilton Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2025-1613

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpath Between Manor Rd & Cooper Thornhill Rd, Stilton as lies between Cooper Thornhill Rd & Manor Rd. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer lining & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 23/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 22/4/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 23/10 & 24/10/25.

Bullock Road, Washingley &  Bullock Road Morborne Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1683

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Bullock Road, Washingley & Bullock Road Morborne as lies between Bullock Road, Elton & Washingley Lane, Folksworth. The alternative route for vehicles is via Washingley Ln, Folksworth; Washingley Ln, Stilton; Washingley Rd; Washingley Rd, Folksworth; Manor Rd C96; Morborne Rd; Morborne Rd, Morborne; The Green; Morborne Hill & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate culvert repairs, headwalls reconstruction & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6/10 & 17/10/25.

Church Close, Stilton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1757

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Close, Stilton as lies between High Street & Orchard Close. The alternative route for vehicles is via Church Cl, Stilton; Church St C95; High St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer lining & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6/10 & 10/10/25.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The Order shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
