What is happening?

ABERDEENSHIRE COUNCIL

FRASERBURGH - TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

“The Aberdeenshire Council (Fraserburgh – 22.09.25) (Temporary Traffic Management) Order, 2025” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.

The order will operate from 22.09.25 for 19 days and will introduce the following temporary restrictions in Fraserburgh:

ROAD CLOSURES

Grattan Place from Strichen Road to Grattan Place Lane. An alternative route is available via Grattan Place to Victoria Street, Victoria Street to King Edward Street, King Edward Street to Strichen Road and Strichen Road to Grattan Place.

Grattan Place Lane from Grattan Place to Grattan Place. An alternative route is available via Grattan Place Lane and Grattan Place and vice versa.

Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.

PROHIBITION OF WAITING

Grattan Place:

Both sides from Strichen Road, northwards for 65 metres Strichen Road:

Both sides from Grattan Place, eastwards for 45 metres

Both sides from Grattan Place, westwards for 45 metres The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety due to works being carried out for an electricity company. Details of the restriction can be viewed online at https://online.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/apps/roadworks/
