Brampton, Continued Temporary Footpath Closure For Rock Stabilisation Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (FOOTPATH NO. 105028 IN THE PARISH OF BRAMPTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Cumberland Council on 3 October 2023, which became operative on 11 October 2023, because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to falling rocks and to enable subsequent rock stabilisation works to be carried out (“the Works”), and which would otherwise expire on 11 October 2025
:has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 11 October 2026.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the entire length of Public Footpath No. 105028 at Gelt Woods in the Parish of Brampton.
A suitable alternative route for pedestrians will be available via Public Footpath Nos. 105027 and 105015.
