(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
CARR LANE LEVEL CROSSING, BROOMFLEET
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed/proceeding along Carr Lane Level Crossing, Broomfleet and 20 metres either side of the level crossing commencing 5 October 2025 between 00.15 hours until 08.05 hours. The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed Carr Lane Level Crossing, Broomfleet uplift of the level crossing for tamper HUL1 1100-14M30ch-15M30CH works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within eight hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Carr Lane, Common Lane, Common Road, Millbeck Bank, Ings Lane, Ellerker Road and Main Street, Broomfleet CP, South Cave CP, Howdenshire Ward, Dale Ward.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but access will be maintained for residents, emergency vehicles and pedestrians. The Order will commence 5 October 2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
