Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) B3098 (Part), Westbury:

From its junction with Bitham Park to its property known as Hillcroft Farm to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works.

Alternative route for high sided vehicles via B3098 (unaffected length) – C40 – A360 – A361 – A350 – Bitham Park – B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

Alternative route for all other vehicles via B3098 (unaffected length) – A360 – A361 – A350 – Bitham Park – B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 05 October 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 for 1 day.

B) B3098 (Part), Edington:

From its property known as No.23 Westbury Road to its property known as No.25 Westbury Road to enable Wessex Water to carry out repair cover and associated works.

Alternative route for high sided vehicles via B3098 (unaffected length) – C40 – A360 – A361 – A350 – Bitham Park – B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

Alternative route for all other vehicles via B3098 (unaffected length) – A360 – A361 – A350 – Bitham Park – B3098 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 07 October 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 for 1 day.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

C) C150 (Part), Corsham:

From its junction with Easton Lane to its junction with Coppershell to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out wall rebuilding works and other associated works.

Alternative route via C150 (unaffected length) – A350 – A4 – B3353 – C150 (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 15 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 until 27 September 2025.

D) Ashton Road (Part), Hilperton and Trowbridge:

From its roundabout junction with A361 to its junction with Pike Close to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out ducting for SEN site three way phase cable via open trench.

Alternative route via Ashton Road (unaffected length) – A350 – B3105 – A361 and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 15 September 2025 and the closure will be required for 4 days.

E) B3107 (Part), Melksham:

From its roundabout junction with A350 for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out CCTV survey of foul water network and associated works.

Alternative route via B3107 (unaffected length) – B3105 – B3109 – A365 – A350 and vice versa.

This Order will come into operation on 15 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:30 and 05:00 for 1 night.

F) Cottles Lane, Winsley:

From its junction with C230 to its junction with C391 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage and associated works.

Alternative route via C391 – C230 and vice versa.

This Order which previously came into operation on 30 June 2025 will now recommence on 15 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 until 19 September 2025.

G) Netherstreet (Part), Bromham:

From its property known as Brooklands 52 for a distance of approximately 400m in a south westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out drainage works and other associated works.

Alternative route via Netherstreet (unaffected length) – A342 – Yard Lane – Netherstreet (unaffected length) and vice versa.

This Order which previously came into operation on 30 June 2025 will now recommence on 15 September 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 until 03 October 2025.

Orders (A) to (E) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Orders (F and G) has a maximum duration of 6 months.

The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions.

Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (No.59) 2025 (Ref TTRO 10692)

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. The order is required to enable carriageway patching, surface dressing and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 06 October 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months.

The closures are anticipated to be for up to 5 days but only when the traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works.

It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates.

Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

The closures are anticipated to take place between 06 October 2025 and 05 January 2026.

Schedule:

  1. UC 896801 (Part), Corsham: From its junction with C155 to its junction with UC 896903.

  2. Pitman Avenue, Trowbridge: From its junction with A361 for its entire length.

  3. Allen Road, Trowbridge: From its junction with A361 to its junction with Pitman Avenue.

  4. Rock Road, Trowbridge: From its junction with A361 to its junction with Pitman Avenue.

  5. B3095 (Part), Longbridge Deverill, Brixton Deverill and Kingston Deverill: From its junction with A350 to its junction with C25.

    Alternative routes (vice versa):

    1. via UC 896903 – C163 – C155.

  • 2/3/4. via A361.

    1. Light vehicles: via B3095 (unaffected length) – A303 – B3089 – A350.

  • Heavy vehicles: via B3095 (unaffected length) – A303 – A350.

All works will be published on Wiltshire Council website https://one.network/public

when confirmed dates are known.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all users:

A) Bridleway 1 (Part), Staverton:

From its junction with the railway bridge for a distance of approximately 185m in a south westerly direction to enable erection of new boundary fence to secure the railway infrastructure.

The path is to be closed in order to protect the public and the fencing team.

No alternative route is available.

This Order will come into operation on 06 October 2025 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 10 October 2025.

B) Footpath 3 (Part), Hilperton:

From its junction with B3105 to its junction with Footpath 47, Trowbridge to enable construction of housing development.

Alternative route via Footpath 47, Trowbridge – Victoria Road – Middle Lane – B3105 and vice versa.

This closure which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 15 September 2025 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 02 February 2026.

C) Footpath 40, Lacock:

From its junction with Bewley Lane to its junction with Footpath 23, Lacock to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out essential infrastructure works in existing water main installation project in Lacock, Wiltshire.

Post and rail fencing arrangements are required.

The existing water main to be decommissioned is in poor condition, and leakage has been reported.

No alternative route is available.

This closure which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 15 September 2025 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 30 December 2025.

D) Footpath 14 (Part), Lacock:

From its junction with Nethercote Hill to its junction with Mons Lane.

E) Footpath 15, Lacock:

From its junction with Nethercote Hill to its junction with Mons Lane.

F) Footpath 19 (Part), Lacock:

For a distance of approximately 100m southeast of its junction with Nash Hill for a distance of approximately 250m in a south easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to construct link between Lacock water treatment centre and existing water supply network at Bowden Hill.

No alternative route is available.

This Order which was due to expire on 16 September 2025 will now continue in force until 30 January 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is earliest.
