Tendring - Temporary Road Closures due to Drainage and Water Works
What is happening?

(Bargate Lane, Lawford)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bargate Lane, Lawford in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Harwich Road for a distance of approximately 275m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th October 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2385900 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage investigation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Harwich Road, Coggeshall Road, Long Road East, Bargate Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 19th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Station Road, Wrabness)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the Order: To temporarily close that length of Station Road, Wrabness in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 75m south of the junction with Black Boy Lane for a distance of approximately 25m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th September 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110278565 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while boundary box replacement works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Station Road, Rectory Road, Primrose Hill, Wrabness Road, Dimbolls Hall Lane, Station Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 5th September 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
