What is happening?

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 12 September 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Camphill Road (C130) West Byfleet as extends from the northern boundary of the property known as “59 Camphill Road” to its junction with Leisure Lane (X68308).

Alternative Route – Scotland Bridge Road, B385 (Woodham Lane) and A245 (Sheerwater Road and Old Woking Road), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Leep Utilities to facilitate high voltage works and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 1 October 2025 for 4 weeks, between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access will be maintained at all times to properties within the closure as well as for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Management Order 2025

On 17 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Whitmoor Lane (D3707) Sutton Green as extends from its junction with (A320) Guildford Road and for a distance of 70 metres in a southerly direction; (b) prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles on both sides of the carriageway in that length of Whitmoor Lane (D3707) Sutton Green as extends from its junction with (A320) Guildford Road to its junction with the access to the property known as “Staleigh Manor”; (c) Suspend “Woking Borough Council” “Borough Council of Woking (Whitmoor Lane and Guildford Road (A320) Sutton Green) (Regulations of Traffic) Order 1994” in its entirety. Alternative Route: (A320) Guildford Road, (A320) Woking Road, Clay Lane, Blanchards Hill, and Whitmoor Lane, or this route in reverse. This Temporary Order is required to facilitate excavation of the carriageway to enable new electrical connection works for, on behalf of ALS Civil Engineers Ltd/UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 11 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 03 October 2025. This temporary closure and restriction, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. For sub-paragraph (a) above: Access for residents will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists, all other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to follow the diversion route. For sub-paragraphs (b) above: Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
