Emerald Square and Fulmer Way - Various Roads Playstreet Scheme
What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING PLAYSTREETS - EMERALD SQUARE, UB1, FULMER WAY, W13, SHELLEY CRESCENT, UB1, ST MARGARET ROAD. The Ealing (Various Roads Playstreet Scheme) (No. 4, 2016) (Amendment No. 018) Order 2025.
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Ealing ("the Council") made the above-titled Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the made playstreet Order will be to create play streets on: -
(a) EMERALD SQUARE, UB1 (all highway that is north-east of south-eastern boundary of Nos. 1-11 Emerald Square);
(b) FULMER WAY, W13 (Burnham Way to Ridley Avenue);
(c) SHELLEY CRESCENT, UB1 (its entire length);
(d) ST MARGARET ROAD (Rosebank Road to St Dunstan's Road).
The scheme called "Playstreet" would close the above roads to vehicular traffic on either Saturday, 20 September 2025 or Sunday, 21 September 2025 for a period of up to 3 hours to enable children to use them for play schemes. Vehicles would be able to access premises in the closed sections of street and would be escorted by a steward to reach their destination.
3. The made Order, which will come into operation from 21 September 2025, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order including plans, are available by e-mail from 'trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk' or for inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until six weeks of the date on which the Order was made.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained therein on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders was made, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
