What is happening?

FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

BAGILLT

The Flintshire County Council hereby intends not sooner than 7 days from the 12 September 2025 to make an Order which will prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in Tyddyn Mesham and Old London Road, between its junctions with High Street and Bryn Tirion Road in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate gas mains replacement with associated works by Wales and West Utilities.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian provision will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

It is anticipated that the Order will come into force on 29 September 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. The road will only be closed for 4 weeks, or until earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

BUCKLEY

Flintshire County Council has made an Order which prohibits any vehicles or pedestrians from proceeding in Well Street, between its junctions with Springfield Drive and Rose Lane.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate construction for rising mains and housing development by Charles L Warren Ltd.

The alternative route for vehicles and pedestrians affected by the closure will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access to any premises situated on or adjacent to the road, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the road will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The Order comes into force on 15th September 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter. The road will be closed for 14 weeks or until earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

NOTICE OF MAKING

THE FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS) (20MPH, 30MPH, 40MPH, 50MPH AND NATIONAL SPEED LIMITS. RESTRICTED AND DERESTRICTED ROADS) (A5104 AND B5125 HAWARDEN TO BROUGHTON) (30MPH, 40MPH AND 50MPH SPEED LIMIT) (AMENDMENT NO. 11) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that on the 9th September 2025, Flintshire County Council made an Order in exercise of its powers under Sections 82 (2) & (4) and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers), the effect of which will be to amend The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023, so as to impose :

a) A speed limit of 30mph on:

B5125 Penarlâg to Broughton: from a point 100 metres south east of its junction with Moor Lane, Hawarden to a point 249 metres south west of its junction with Manor Lane, Hawarden.

The Order will revoke Schedule 1 and 2 of The Flintshire County Council (A5104 and B5125 Hawarden to Broughton) (Restricted Roads) Order 2013 in its entirety and Schedule 3 and 4 will remain unchanged. The above restrictions shall be incorporated into The Flintshire County Council (Various Roads) (20mph, 30mph, 40mph, 50mph and National Speed Limits. Restricted and Derestricted Roads) Order 2023.

A copy of the Order and map showing the lengths of road to which the Order relates, together with a copy of the relevant Orders amended by the Order may be examined at Flintshire County Council, Governance and Democratic Services, County Hall, Mold, during normal office hours.

The Order will come into force on the 22nd September 2025.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may apply to the High Court within six weeks of the date on which the Order is made.

Mae Cyngor Sir y Fflint yn rhoi rhybudd trwy hyn fod wedi gwneud Gorchymyn ar 9 Medi 2025 drwy arfer ei bwerau o dan Adran 82 (2) a (4) ac 84 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984, a Rhan IV o Atodlen 9 y Ddeddf, a’r holl bwerau galluogi eraill, yr effaith ohono fydd diwygio Gorchymyn Cyngor Sir y Fflint (Ffyrdd Amrywiol) (20mya, 30mya, 40mya, 50mya a Therfynau Cyflymder Cenedlaethol. Mae’r Gorchymyn yn diddymu Atodlen 1 a 2 o Orchymyn Cyngor Sir y Fflint (A5104 and B5125 Penarlâg i Frychdyn) (Ffyrdd Cyfyngedig) 2013 yn ei gyfanrwydd a bydd Atodlen 3 a 4 yn aros yn ddiwygio. Bydd y cyfyngiadau uchod yn cael eu hymgorffori i Orchymyn Cyngor Sir y Fflint (Ffyrdd Amrywiol) (20mya, 30mya, 40mya, 50mya a Therfynau Cyflymder Cenedlaethol.
