Birmingham - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic For Highway Maintenance Works
What is happening?
BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, BIRMINGHAM) (11025) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be;
(i) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along REGENCY WALK, SUTTON FOUR OAKS.
(ii) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along NEW COVENTRY ROAD, SHELDON between its junction with Brays Road and its junction with Coventry Road.
(iii) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along TAMWORTH ROAD, SUTTON TRINITY between its junction with Lichfield Road and its junction with Weeford Road.
(iv) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding other than in a westerly direction along KINGSBURY ROAD, WALMLEY AND MINWORTH between a point approximately 400m east of its junction with Wiggins Hill Road and its junction with Cottage Lane.
The temporary Order is required to enable highway maintenance works to be carried out in safety.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by this Order will be signposted and access to frontages will be maintained as necessary.
These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
The Order will come into operation on 1st October 2025 and will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
