NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14
BOSTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
(PART OF WYBERTON PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.1) STOPPING UP ORDER 2025
The above order was made on 20 August 2025. The effect of the order will be to stop up the public footpath described in the Schedule below as shown on the order map.
A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at Boston Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, West Street, Boston, PE21 8QR from 9:00am to 4:30pm on Mondays - Thursdays and from 9:00am to 4:00pm on Fridays.
Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £3.
Any representation about or objection to the order may be sent to planning@boston.gov.uk or delivered in writing addressed to the Senior Planning Lawyer, c/o The Planning Technical Support Team, Boston Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, West Street, Boston, PE21 8QR not later than 17 October 2025. Please state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Boston Borough Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
SCHEDULE
Description of site of existing path or way
The whole width of Wyberton Public Footpath No.1 running in a north-northwesterly direction for 191 metres from point A (Grid Reference TF 3268 4190) to point C (Grid Reference TF 3264 4208). The total length of footpath to be diverted is 191 metres as shown on the attached map.
Description of site of alternative highway
A public footpath 2 metres wide running in a northnorthwesterly direction for 32 metres from point A (Grid Reference TF 3268 4190) to point D (Grid Reference TF 3267 4193) then continuing in a north-northeasterly direction for 35 metres to point E (Grid Reference TF 3268 4196) then continuing in a northernly direction for 52 metres to point F (Grid Reference TF 3268 4201) then continuing in an easterly direction for 28 metres to point G (Grid Reference TF 3265 4201) then continuing in a northerly direction for 73 metres from to point C (Grid Reference TF 3264 4208). The total length of new footpath between points A-D-E-F-G-C is approximately 220 metres as shown on the attached map.
