What is happening?

THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) REGULATIONS 2017 NOTICE UNDER REGULATION 30 OF THE DETERMINATION OF A PLANNING APPLICATION ACCOMPANIED BY AN ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT(AN EIA APPLICATION)
Relating to development at: Land at and adjoining Cliffe Hill Quarry, West Lane, Coalville LE67 1FA.
Ref: 2022/10125/04 and 2022/01384/07 (LCC Ref no. 2022/EIA/0100/LCC). We give notice that planning permission has been approved by Leicestershire County Council, for development of the following description: Continuation of mineral operations overburden disposal and ancillary activities at Cliffe Hill Quarry including an easterly extension to Old Cliffe Hill Quarry with new screening landform requiring the relocation of parts of Cliffe Lane, Cliffe Hill Road and Stoney Lane, the demolition of Peak Hayes Farm and ‘Sunny Cliffe’, the construction of a new access into Old Cliffe Quarry with landscaping, habitat creation and restoration of the quarry void to water.
The application as submitted was accompanied by an environmental statement and further information, considering the information contained within, it was concluded that significant effects on the environment can be excluded. The decision, the main reasons and considerations on which the decision is based are documented within the committee report which is also available to view on the Council’s website in additional to the legal agreement.
