PROPOSED ZEBRA CROSSING INSTALLATION – LOCK’S LANE, MITCHAM
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, intend to introduce a zebra crossing under powers conferred by section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 in LOCK’S LANE, MITCHAM, the centre point of which would be 8.6 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Firtree Avenue.
2. The “controlled area” in which stopping, waiting and loading is prohibited at all times would apply on both the approach and exit sides of the crossing, with the zig-zag markings extending to a maximum of 19.9 metres from the middle of the crossing on either approach side.
NB – the footway parking bay on the north-east side of Lock’s Lane would be shortened by 3.5 metres to accommodate the proposed zebra crossing.
3. A plan of the area showing the crossing can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Friday at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden. Information is also available at: https://www.merton.gov.uk/Lockszebra
4. Any person desiring to comment on the proposal should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections and the grounds therefor in writing to the Environment, Civic Pride and Climate Department, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden SM4 5DX or alternatively by email to Traffic.AndHighways@merton.gov.uk quoting reference ES/LOCKSZEBRA, no later than 3rd October 2025.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, intend to introduce a zebra crossing under powers conferred by section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 in: STREATHAM ROAD, MITCHAM, the centre point of which would be 10.3 metres north-east of a point in line with the north-eastern kerb-line of The Bungalows,
2. The “controlled area” in which stopping, waiting and loading is prohibited at all times would apply on both the approach and exit sides of the crossing, with the zig-zag markings extending to a maximum of 19.9 metres from the middle of the crossing on either approach side.
3. NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton under the powers conferred by sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, propose to make the above-mentioned Order.
4. The general effect of the Order would be to shorten the permit parking place outside No. 236 Streatham Road by 2.4 metres to facilitate the introduction of the proposed zebra crossing.
5. A copy of the proposed Order and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including a plan which indicates the length of road to which the Order relates and also the zebra crossing, can be inspected Monday to Friday during normal office hours at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden SM4 5DX. 1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, intend to introduce a zebra crossing under powers conferred by section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 in: GRAND DRIVE, RAYNES PARK, the centre point of which would be 19.8 metres south of the southern kerb-line of Blenheim Road.
2. The “controlled area” in which stopping, waiting and loading is prohibited at all times would apply on both the approach and exit sides of the crossing, with the zig-zag markings extending to a maximum of 19.8 metres on the north side and a maximum of 24.1 metres on the south side, measured from the middle of the crossing.

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton under the powers conferred by sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make the above-mentioned Orders.
2. The general effect of the ‘Pedal Cycles Order’ would be to provide a secure bicycle parking facility (fully enclosed bike hangar measuring 2.6 metres in length and 2 metres in width for a maximum of 6 pedal cycles) at each of the locations specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
3. The general effect of the ‘Parking Places Amendment’ Orders would be to remove existing lengths of certain of the parking places referred to in the Schedule to this Notice to facilitate the introduction of bike hangars.
4. A copy of each of the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, including plans which indicate the roads or lengths of road to which the Orders relate, can be inspected Mondays to Fridays during normal office hours at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden.
