What is happening?
STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – (AS AMENDED)
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 3 HYDE LEA PARISH (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council, on 11/9/25, made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along the following length of footpath the section of Public Footpath No. 3 Hyde Lea Parish Junction with Public Footpath No. 12 Hyde Lea Parish to the junction with Public Footpath No. 32 Stafford Parish approximately 600m North
The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to the unsafe condition of the steps and subsequent works required.
No alternative route is available.
A plan will be displayed on site to show the length of path to be closed and unaffected rights of way in the area.
This Order shall come into operation on 12/9/25 and continues the restriction that came in to force on 22/8/25 and may be cited as the Staffordshire County Council Public Footpath No. 3 Hyde Lea Parish (Temporary Closure) Order 2025.
