LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton on 8 September 2025 made the following Order The Sutton (Parking, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 31) Order 2025 under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 (insofar as applicable) and all other powers thereunto enabling as of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended –
The general effect of the will:–
(a) introduce waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ (double yellow lines) in
• Duke of Edinburgh Road outside Nos. 9 to 17
• Link Road adjacent to No. 63 Longfield Avenue and 47 Hackbridge Road
(b) Longfield Avenue remove a disabled persons parking place outside the Surgery and adjacent to No. 183 London Road
(c) Hartland Road remove a free footway parking bay adjacent to No. 127 Glastonbury Road
(d) Lodge Place convert a disabled persons parking place adjacent to 166 High Street, Sutton to a motorcycle bay operating ‘at any time’
NOTE: For the proposal published on 28 September 2025 the item below has been withdrawn:
(e) Hallmead Road, Sutton to provide a new Permit Parking Area, which would be made up of designated parking places indicated on-street by way of a traffic sign stating ‘resident permit holders parking only past this point’ Area Permit Parking Area (HR) – which would operate between 8 am and 6.30 pm on Monday to Saturday between No. 16 and its north-western extremity);
Properties that would be eligible for permits are Nos. 1 to 35 (odds) and Nos. 16 to 68 (evens).
A copy of the Order that will come into force on 15 September 2025, of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be inspected at the Council’s Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA. Copies can also be obtained by calling 020 8770 5000.
If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984; or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
