LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton on 8 September 2025 made the following Order The Sutton (Parking, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 30) Order 2025 under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 insofar as applicable and all other powers thereunto enabling as of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

  2. The general effect of the Order would be to:-

    (a) introduce no waiting and no loading/unloading operating ‘at any time’ in Grennell Road opposite No. 67 and side boundary of No 93 Rose Hill Park West

    (b) introduce/extend waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ (double yellow lines) in:-

    • Alexandra Avenue around the island site

    • Audley Place at its junction with Audley Place and at the end outside No. 6

    • Autonoe Way, Carshalton outside Nos. 4 and 5, 6 and 7, and 8 to 10, adjacent to No. 12 Culvers Way

    • Cranleigh Gardens outside Nos. 1, 1a and adjacent to No. 1 Ashleigh Gardens

    • Leslie Gardens outside Nos. 9 and 21 and adjacent to No. 58 Worcester Road

    • Mill Lane outside Nos. 15 to 18

    • Montrose Gardens adjacent to Nos. 12 and 14 Waverley Avenue

    • Waverley Avenue outside Nos.1, 4 to 12, 14 to 32, adjacent to No. 34 and Nos. 44 Angel Hill and 42 Angel Hill Drive

    • Worcester Road outside Nos. 41 and 43

    (c) introduce waiting restrictions operating 11am to 12pm Monday to Friday (single yellow line) outside No. 11 Glebe Road, Cheam in place of a free parking place

    (d) introduce a motorcycle parking bay in Brighton Road outside No. 20

    (e) extend a free parking place outside Hadrian Court, Stanley Road, Sutton

    (f) remove waiting restrictions operating ‘at any time’ (double yellow lines) outside Nos. 32 to 38 Warren Park Road

    (g) revoke existing Free Parking Place to partly be removed in the footway in:

    • Alexandra Avenue outside Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6, 7 and 8

    • Autonoe Way, Carshalton outside Nos. 6 and 7

    • Worcester Road outside Nos. 26 to 28

  3. Copies of the proposed Order, of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order and plans showing the locations and the effects of the proposals may be inspected at the Council’s Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, Surrey, SM1 1EA. Copies can also be obtained by calling 020 8770 5000.

  4. A copy of the Order that will come into force on 15 September 2025, of the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be inspected at the Council’s Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA. Copies can also be obtained by calling 020 8770 5000.

  5. If any person wishes to question the validity of this Order or any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984; or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984; or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
