What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (BEAN LEACH ROAD AND MARPLE ROAD, OFFERTON) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 the effect of which will be to introduce No Waiting at Any Time: Marple Road (south side), from a point 10 metres west of the western kerb line of Bean Leach Road in an easterly direction to a point 14 metres east of the eastern kerb line of Bean Leach Road, Bean Leach Road (west side), from the southern kerb line of Marple Road for a distance of 25 metres in a southerly direction (to tie-in with the aforementioned) and Bean Leach Road (east side), from the southern kerb line of Marple Road for a distance of 15 metres in a southerly direction (to tie-in with the aforementioned). Full details of these proposals are set out in the draft Order which, together with the map, may be obtained from Stockport Legal Services, Town Hall Stockport SK1 3XE. A copy of this Notice and the Plan can also be viewed on the Council’s website at https:// www.stockport.gov.uk/proposed -traffic-regulations-in-your area Any person wishing to object to this proposed Order should write, specifying their grounds for objection, to the undersigned (or by email to traffic@stockport.gov.uk) on or before 7 October 2025 quoting reference JO/11185265.
