Barlby Road - Temporary Road Closures For Crane Works

What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
ROOTES DRIVE AND METHWOLD ROAD CLOSURES JUNCTION OF BARLBY ROAD

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea intends to make an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.

ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR CRANE WORKS.

Rootes Drive to be closed at Barlby Road.

- Diverted through traffic may use Barlby Road, Dalgarno Gardens, Dalgarno Way, Shrewsbury Street, Rootes Drive, in both directions.

Methwold Road to be closed at Barlby Road.

- Diverted through traffic may use Barlby Road, St Mark’s Road, Oakworth Road, Methwold Road. or Barlby Road, Pangbourne Road Oakworth Road Hill Farm Road, in both directions.

To be closed from 08.00hrs on Saturday 27th September 2025 until 18.00hrs on Sunday 5th October 2025, or until the works are completed.

Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
