Sand Lane, Wilberfoss - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
SAND LANE, WILBERFOSS

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Sand Lane, Wilberfoss between the junctions of Sandy
Acres Access Road and Rose Cottage Access Road
commencing 24 October 2025 at 08.00 hours to
install a new water supply connection.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months,
but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by
30 October 2025 at 20.00 hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via Sand Lane, Feoffee Common Lane,
York Road, Hull Road and vice versa. The diversion
route will be signed at the time of closure.
The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be
maintained for emergency vehicles, residents and
pedestrians.
