Brent, Temporary Road Closures Due To Sporting Event

What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16(A)

(CHALKHILL ROAD: 5K RUN) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 202*

The Council of the London Borough of Brent, hereby give notice that, to facilitate a sporting event, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to -

(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in any length of Chalkhill Road, Ken Way, Gervase Close, Demeta Close, Buddings Circle, The leadings, Saxon Road, Kingsgate, Havenwood, Peace Grove, Rawlings Crescent, Wellspring Crescent, Bowater Road, Wellspring Crescent, Rook Close, Windsor Crescent, Bowater Avenue, Anton Place, Dugolly Avenue, St. Davids Close, Barnhill Road, The Close, Poplar Grove and any unnamed access road in the vicinity;

(b) prohibit waiting by vehicles, including waiting for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle in any road or length of road referred to in (a) above;

when and where appropriate traffic signs are being displayed.

The prohibitions referred to above would apply on 4th October 2025, when and where appropriate traffic signs are being displayed.

The prohibitions would not apply to vehicles required by organisers of the 5K Run for use in connection with the event.

Access to premises in or adjacent to the roads referred to in (a) above would be permitted only insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the event and does not compromise the safety of competitors.

Traffic affected by the prohibition in (a) above should proceed as indicated by traffic signs.
