Public Footpath Haigh No.41 –  Temporary Closure 

Notice of Extension

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has extended the above Order.

The effect of the extension will be to prohibit any person, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable, from using Haigh No. 41 from its junction with Wigan Lane at Point A as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 358485 407164, to Point B as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 358510 407165 for a distance of approximately 25 metres in an easterly direction.

The extension will be until 16th September 2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever occurs sooner.

An alternative route exists from Point C as shown on the Order Map at grid reference 358489 407142 to Point B via a temporary route that will be constructed, a distance of approximately 35 metres in a generally north easterly direction. The Order is necessary to enable repairs to be carried out to the Plantation Gates and archway.
