Pine Grove (D3889) Weybridge
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 10 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Pine Grove (D3889) Weybridge as extends from its junction with (D3890) Daneswood Close to its junction with (X67361) Angas Court. Alternative Route – Pine Grove; Hanger Hill; Princes Road; and Pine Grove. This 12-month Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 26 September 2025 is required to facilitate telegraph pole replacement and/or cabling works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over one day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will operate only when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24 hour period.

C35 Dunsfold Road, Alfold
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 10 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of C35 Dunsfold Road, Alfold. This Traffic Order is required to enable Thames Water to carry out service pipe repair and/or installation and/or connection and/or maintenance works in C35 Dunsfold Road, Alfold outside “Brockhurst Cottages”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9am and 6pm, within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times by means of road plates. Alternative route:- Alfold By-Pass, Dunsfold Road and Dunsfold Common Road.

D100 School Lane, Shackleford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 10 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D100 School Lane, Shackleford that extends from the south-western property boundary of “Norney Grove”, to the north-western property boundary of “Cedar House”. This Traffic Order is required to enable Barr Engineering Services Limited/BT Openreach to carry out excavations for a new telegraph pole/s and/or telegraph pole replacement and/or to carry out overhead cabling and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative route:- Elstead Road, Shackleford Road and School Lane.

D3176 Rosemary Lane, Thorpe
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
On 10 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned order under 14(1), 14(7) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 “the Act” (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3176 Rosemary Lane, Thorpe which extends from its junction with Muckhatch Lane to the eastern property boundary line of “Bramdene”; and (b) suspend “Surrey County Council D3176 Rosemary Lane, Thorpe Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. This Order is required to enable Mida Civil Engineering to facilitate sewer construction works and other associated connection works which will commence on 12 September 2025 for a period of 12 months and continues in force the provisions of “Surrey County Council D3176 Rosemary Lane Thorpe Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2025” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 8 September 2025. It is however anticipated that the works will be completed within 13 days and carried out between 7.30am and 4.30pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and suspension will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so via road plates. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. There is no diversion route available for this road closure.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.5) 2025
On 10 September 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice; and (b) revoke “Surrey County Council Various Roads in Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2024” only insofar as it relates to the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate fine milling, carriageway treatment, footway reconstruction and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/ or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

(Guildford 10k Event) (Temporary Traffic Measures) Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order, pursuant to Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all vehicles and persons riding, leading or driving horses or any other animals, from entering or proceeding along those lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice, or any parts thereof. The Order will come into effect on 4 October 2025, for a period of two days and is required to facilitate the holding of an event on the highway, namely the Guildford 10k running event. The temporary closure will not apply to such vehicles being used in connection with the said event, or to anything done on the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a traffic marshal, or any sign placed by Surrey Police. Emergency access will be maintained for the police, fire brigade and ambulance services and for organisations responsible for dealing with the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, water or electronic communications, to premises in the area and for the removal of any obstruction to traffic. The Council are satisfied that, in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road to which this Order relates, or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising, vehicular access to premises situated in the aforesaid lengths of roads, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted, save as indicated above.

The prohibition will only be operative while the relevant signs are displayed, though it is anticipated that the closure will only take effect between 7am and 10am on 5 October, save that High Street between Quarry Street and North Street will be closed from 6pm on 4 October until 10am on 5 October. The existing prohibition of traffic in the said length of High Street and the one-way driving restriction in Market Street, imposed by The County Council of Surrey (Guildford) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1987 (as amended) will be suspended whilst this Order operates. Access for pedestrians will be unaffected. The Council are also satisfied that the event to which the Order relates cannot be held otherwise than on a road. Traffic will be diverted via the A247 and the A3.

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Kingston By-Pass (A309) Long Ditton Surbiton eastbound as extends from its junction with Kingston By-Pass (leading to Hook Rise North) to the A3 northbound main carriageway.
Alternative Route – A309 (Kingston By-Pass/Hook Rise North) to Hook Junction.
This Order is required to enable TfL to facilitate cyclical maintenance on the A3 and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 6 October 2025 for 2 nights, between the hours of 10.00pm and 5.00am. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

A308 Staines By-Pass, Staines Upon Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the south-eastbound carriageway to A308 Staines By-Pass, Staines Upon Thames that extends from its junction with A30 Staines By-Pass at the south-eastern side of the “Crooked Billet Roundabout”, southwards to the northern side of the “A308/16 Crooked Billet Footbridge”, a distance of approximately 30m. This Traffic Order is required to enable Connect Plus Services to carry out carriageway repair and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10pm and 5:30am within 1 night of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 29 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. No sole access will be affected however access for residents, businesses and equestrians will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- A308 London Road WB, C248 Kingston Road SB and B377 Kingston Road SB, to the “Fordbridge Roundabout”, and A308 Staines By-Pass NB.

C18 White Lane and C18 Foreman Road, Ash
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of C18 White Lane, and C18 Foreman Road, Ash. This Traffic Order is required by Circet/BT Openreach to carry out replacement of telecoms boxes and/or ducting and/or cabling and/or repair and/or maintenance works in C18 White Lane, Ash between D66 Ash Green Road and D80 Ash Green Lane East. 
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Hogs Back, Runfold Diversion, Blackwater Valley Road, Aldershot Road, Ash Street and Ash Church Road.

D230 Hoe Lane, Abinger Hammer
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D230 Hoe Lane, Abinger Hammer that extends from its junction with Westfield, south-westwards to “High Hoe Cottages”. This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to access to joint boxes and/or carry out gully cleaning and/or cabling and/or repair/maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm within 2 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives. Alternative route:- Horsham Road, Felday Road, Guildford Road, Sher Road, Sherbourne, New Road, Park Road, Little London, Hook Lane, Pursers Lane and Hoe Lane.

Harpers Road (D67) Ash
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Harpers Road (D67) Ash as extends from its junction with (A323) Guildford Road to its junction with (D66) Ash Green Road. Alternative Route: (A323) Guildford Road, Wyke Lane, and Harpers Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate excavation works for, or on behalf of Circet. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 19 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 06 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Brook Road (C31) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Brook Road (C31) Godalming as extends from its junction with (D151) Church Lane to its junction with (D152) Sebastopol Lane. Alternative Route: Brook Road, (A286) Haslemere Road, (A283) Cherry Tree Roundabout, (A283) Petworth Road, and Brook Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate tree felling works for, or on behalf of South East Tree Cutting. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 08 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Portsmouth Road (A3100) Godalming that is crossed under the bridge known as “Ockford Road (A3100) WPH1 17/34” and for a distance of 20 metres either side. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

B376 Staines Road, Laleham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of B376 Staines Road, Laleham which extends from its junction with Worple Road to its junction with the Broadway; and (b) revoke “Surrey County Council Various Roads in Runnymede and Spelthorne Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024” insofar as it relates to Staines Road, Laleham only. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.6) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing and/or surface dressing and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 October 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route/directed by the gatemen on-site.

Public Footpath No. 66 (Egham)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
The Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 66 (Egham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 was made on the grounds of public safety due to damage to the bridge. The Order came into operation on 18 March 2024. It was due to expire on 18 September 2024 but was continued in force by the Secretary Of State until 18 September 2025. 
It has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport for a further 12 months until 18 September 2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier.
The Order as continued prohibits all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding in that length of Public Footpath No.66 (Egham) crossing the bridge from grid ref: 502130 171843 to grid ref: 502148 181831.
The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (S.I. 2002 No. 3113) prohibiting the said movements. 
Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route is as follows from point A – Head West along Footpath 66 for approximately 300 metres to footpath to Egham 83, head south until you reach the A30 (Windsor Road) and cross at the traffic lights at Runnymede Junction. Head East under the underpass and continue along The Glanty/A308 The Causeway to River Park Avenue. Head North onto footpath 66 Egham then head West for approximately 650 metres to point B. This route is the opposite in reverse.

Public Bridleway No. 173 (Busbridge)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
The Surrey County Council Public Bridleway No. 173 (Busbridge) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 was made on the grounds of public safety due to subsidence in the adjacent bank. The Order came into operation on 26 March 2025. It was due to expire on 26 September 2025 but has been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport for a further 6 months until 26 March 2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier.
The Order as continued prohibits all traffic by any means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Bridleway 173 (Busbridge) from grid ref: 499817 140261 to grid ref: 499494 140451.
