What is happening?

HYN fod y Cyngor fel yr Awdurdod Priffyrdd dros Borthcawl gan arfer ei bwerau dan Adran 14(1) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd) yn bwriadu o fewn dim llai na 7 diwrnod o ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn gwneud Gorchymyn fydd yn cau dros dro y llwybr a ddisgrifir yn yr atodlen isod. Mae'r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd yn ystod y gwaith o osod wyneb newydd ar y llwybr. 

Atodlen - Darn 60-metr o hyd o Lwybr Troed 22 Porthcawl – oddi wrth bwynt oddeutu 450 metr i’r gorllewin de-orllewin o ddechrau’r llwybr estyllod wrth gyffordd Llwybrau Troed 20 a 22 Porthcawl a Llwybr Troed 50 Corneli. 

Daw y Gorchymyn i rym ar 06/10/2025 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod o 6 mis ar y mwyaf, neu tan y cyfryw amser ag y bydd y gwaith wedi cael ei gwblhau, p’un bynnag fydd y cyntaf. 

Ni fydd y cyfyngiad yn weithredol, fodd bynnag, ond ar y cyfryw amser ac i’r cyfryw raddau ag y dangosir o bryd i’w gilydd gan arwyddion traffig a ragnodir gan Reoliadau a Chyfarwyddiadau Cyffredinol Arwyddion Traffig 2016. 

Y llwybr amgen yw ar hyd Llwybr Troed 20 Porthcawl, Llwybr Troed 55 Corneli, Heol y Gorllewin, Lôn Sir Fôn, Llwybr Troed 1 Porthcawl, Llwybr Troed Comin Locks ac i’r gwrthwyneb. Dyddiedig: 15/09/2025

BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) (FOOTPATH 22, PORTHCAWL) ORDER 2025 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Porthcawl in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order which will temporarily close the footpaths set out in the schedule below. The Order is necessary in the interests of public safety during works to replace the path surface. 

Schedule - A 60-metre section of Footpath 22 Porthcawl - from a point approximately 450 metres west south-west of the start of the boardwalk at the junction of Footpaths 20, 22 Porthcawl and Footpath 50 Cornelly. 

The Order will come into force on the 06/10/2025 and will continue in force for a maximum period of six months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. 

The restriction shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. 

The alternative route is Via Footpath 20 Porthcawl, Footpath 55 Cornelly, West Road, Anglesey Way, Footpath 1 Porthcawl, Locks Common Footpath and Vice Versa.
