(The Lindens, Gosfield) (20mph Zone) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 84(1) (a) and (2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

The Effect of the Order:

To Implement: A 20mph Zone in Gosfield, in the District of Braintree.

Road: The Lindens (Including Private Drives and Turning Heads)

Description: From its junction with The Street, Gosfield, West for approximately 424 metres.

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 18 September 2025.

Documents can be made available for inspection 8.30am–5.30pm Mon–Thurs and 8.30am–5pm on Friday at Essex County Council, County Hall E block main reception, Market Road, Chelmsford.

Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
