Queensway, Temporary Road Closure Due To Carriageway Remedial Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U80323, Queensway, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U80323, Queensway, Hereford, outside number 42. Grid Ref: 351378/241162.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via Queensway onto College Green, onto Alexandra Avenue, onto Kingsway, onto Queensway and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to carriageway remedial works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 7th of October 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
