GORCHYMYN CEFNFFORDD YR A48 (PEN-SARN I CROSS HANDS, SIR GAERFYRDDIN) (GWAHARDD CERBYDAU DROS DRO) 202- 

MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 ymhen dim llai na 7 niwrnod i ddyddiad yr Hysbysiad hwn. Mae angen y Gorchymyn arfaethedig er mwyn gwneud gwaith ar gefnffordd yr A48, neu gerllaw iddi, rhwng Pen-sarn a Cross Hands, Sir Gaerfyrddin. 

Effaith y Gorchymyn arfaethedig fydd gwahardd dros dro bob cerbyd rhag mynd ar: 

i. y darnau o gerbytffyrdd tua’r dwyrain a thua’r gorllewin cefnffordd yr A48 sy’n ymestyn o Gyffordd Porth-y-rhyd hyd at Gyffordd Cross Hands; 

ii. y darnau o gerbytffyrdd tua’r dwyrain a thua’r gorllewin cefnffordd yr A48 sy’n ymestyn o bwynt 175 o fetrau i’r gorllewin o allanfa Nant-y-caws hyd at ei chyffordd â Chylchfan Pen-sarn. 

Y llwybr arall ar gyfer traffig sy’n teithio tua’r dwyrain rhwng Cyffordd Porth-y-rhyd a Chylchfan Cross Hands yw mynd ar y B4310, Heol Blaenhirwaun, Heol Caerfyrddin a’r A476. I’r gwrthwyneb ar gyfer traffig sy’n teithio tua’r gorllewin. 

Ar gyfer traffig sy’n teithio tua’r gorllewin rhwng Nant-y-caws a Chylchfan Pen-sarn o allanfa Nant-y-caws yr A48 yw mynd ar Heol Llangynnwr, parhau hyd at Gylchfan Llangynnwr, cymryd yr allanfa gyntaf i’r A40 a pharhau hyd at Gylchfan Pen-sarn. I’r gwrthwyneb ar gyfer traffig sy’n teithio tua’r dwyrain. 

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 29 Medi 2025 a disgwylir iddo fod yn weithredol dros nos hyd 9 Hydref 2025, neu hyd nes y caiff yr arwyddion traffig dros dro eu symud ymaith yn barhaol. 

Dim ond yn ystod y cyfnod a bennir uchod y disgwylir i’r Gorchymyn fod yn weithredol. Er hynny, bydd yn parhau’n ddilys am gyfnod o 18 mis ar y mwyaf rhag ofn y bydd angen ailamserlennu’r gwaith neu wneud gwaith canlyniadol neu waith arall. Bydd hysbysiad am unrhyw newidiadau i’r amseroedd a’r dyddiadau yn cael ei roi cyn gwneud unrhyw waith a ailamserlennir.

THE A48 TRUNK ROAD (PEN-SARN TO CROSS HANDS, CARMARTHENSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 202- 

The Welsh Ministers propose, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is necessary to undertake works on or near the A48 trunk road between Pen-sarn and Cross Hands, in Carmarthenshire. 

The effect of the proposed Order will be to temporarily prohibit all vehicles from proceeding on: 

i. the lengths of the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the A48 trunk road that extend from Porthyrhyd Junction to Cross Hands Junction; 

ii. the lengths of the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the A48 trunk road that extend from a point 175 metres west of the Nantycaws exit to its junction with Pen-sarn Roundabout. 

The alternative route for eastbound traffic between Porthyrhyd Junction and Crosshands Junction is via the B4310, Heol Blaenhirwaun, Carmarthen Road and the A476. Vice versa for westbound traffic. 

For westbound traffic between Nantycaws and Pen-sarn Roundabout from the A48 Nantycaws exit is via Heol Llangynnwr, continue until Llangunnor Roundabout, first exit onto the A40 and continue until Pen-sarn Roundabout. Vice versa for eastbound traffic. 

The Order will come into force on 29 September 2025 and is expected to operate overnight until the 9 October 2025, or until the temporary traffic signs are permanently removed. 

Although the Order is only expected to be in force during the period specified above it will remain valid for a maximum period of 18 months, as a contingency, should the work need to be rescheduled, or consequential or other work is required. Notice of any changes to times and dates will be given before any rescheduled work begins.
