ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Middle Aston, Middle Aston Lane

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 22 September 2025

Coming into force: 29 September 2025

This Order is being introduced because of installation of fibre cables which are anticipated to take until 10 October 2025 to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Middle Aston Lane from Grange Farm to Valley View House

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Middle Aston Road, Somerton Road, Banbury Road, Oxford Road, Fenway, North Side, Fir Lane, Steeple Aston Road, Street from Middle Aston Lane to Oxford Road and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16200/RMF)

Prohibition of Through Traffic/Waiting/20 mph Speed Limit

Date of Order: 22 September 2025

Coming into force: 29 September 2025

This Order is being introduced because of carriageway surfacing works which are anticipated to take until 14 October 2025 to complete. Working Hours 19:30 - 06:00.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in excess of 20 mph or waiting in that part of the A361 midway between Banbury & Wardington.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A361, Sefren Way, A425, A423 and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T16176/RMF)
