TEMPORARY CLOSURE PART OF BFA 27 (FAIRFORD TOWN) (COTSWOLD DISTRICT)
Gloucestershire County Council has by this notice closed temporarily, under the relevant provisions of Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) part of Public BFA 27 in the Town of Fairford, from its junction with the Road ‘The Croft’ and then extends in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 100 metres to its junction with London Road and shown on the Map by a bold solid black line marked A to B.
The said public footpath falls within Fairford in the Cotswold District, Gloucestershire.
The closure is necessary to protect the public whilst urgent maintenance works take place on the footpath.
The said Public Footpath was originally closed for 5 days by Urgent Notice commencing 29th August 2025, however, the said works are still ongoing so it is now necessary to extend the closure by an Order which can authorise the closure of the said Public Footpath for up to six months from the date of the original Notice.
If after six months the closure of the original Notice is still required, it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.
