Corbet Close - Prohibition of Driving
What is happening?
CITY OF BRISTOL
(CORBET CLOSE, AVONMOUTH & LAWRENCE WESTON WARD, CITY OF BRISTOL) (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 202-
The City Council of Bristol hereby gives NOTICE that on 11th September 2025 it made a traffic order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from entering or proceeding in Corbet Close between the hours of 8.25 a.m. and 9.05 a.m. and the hours of 2.45 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. on Monday to Friday. The closure will operate during Oasis Academy Bank Leaze term days only.
Exemption will be provided for pedal cycles, blue badge holders, for specified/statutory purposes and for permit holders. Permits will be available to eligible Corbet Close residents and their essential visitors, and where necessary access to Oasis Academy Bank Leaze is required.
The order will come into operation on 22nd September 2025 and a copy thereof, together with a plan and a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for making the order may be inspected at the Citizen Service Point at 100 Temple Street, Bristol, BS1 6AG, between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Monday to Friday.
Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
