What is happening?

GORCHYMYN CYNGOR BWRDEISTREF SIROL PEN-Y-BONT AR OGWR (CAU LLWYBR TROED DROS DRO) (LLWYBR TROED 32, TRELALES) 2025 RHODDIR RHYBUDD, DRWY HYN, fod y Cyngor fel yr Awdurdod Priffyrdd ar gyfer Trelales, wrth gyflawni ei bwerau o dan Adran 14(1) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), yn bwriadu cyhoeddi Gorchymyn a fydd yn cau’r llwybr troed a nodir yn yr atodlen isod dros dro mewn dim llai na 7 diwrnod o’r Rhybudd hwn. Mae’r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd yn ystod gwaith clirio llystyfiant a draenio arfaethedig ar dir y rheilffordd ar ben yr arglawdd. Mae angen cau’r llwybr troed dros dro i ddiogelu’r cyhoedd ac fel y gall gwaith gael ei gynnal. 

Atodlen - Llwybr Troed 32, Trelales – yn dechrau wrth ei gyffordd â ffordd Cefn-glas ac yn parhau tua’r gogledd-ddwyrain am tua 150 metr, yna’n troi tua’r deddwyrain ac yn parhau am 110 metr i’w gyffordd â Heol Tondu. Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 29/09/2025 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am uchafswm o chwe mis, neu hyd nes y bydd y gwaith wedi’i gwblhau, p’un bynnag sydd gynharaf. Ond ni fydd y cyfyngiad yn berthnasol ond ar yr adeg ac i’r graddau a nodir o bryd i’w gilydd gan arwyddion traffig. Bydd y rhain yn cael eu pennu gan Reoliadau a Chyfarwyddiadau Cyffredinol Arwyddion Traffig 2016. Nid oes llwybr amgen addas ar gael. Dyddiedig: 11/09/2025

BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) (FOOTPATH 32, LALESTON) ORDER 2025 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council as the Highway Authority for Laleston in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order which will temporarily close the footpaths set out in the schedule below. The Order is necessary in the interest of public safety during planned vegetation clearance and drainage works within the railway land on the top of the embankment. A temporary closure is needed to protect the public and to enable works to be undertaken. 

Schedule - Footpath 32, Laleston - commencing at its junction with Cefn-Glas road and proceeding northeast for approximately 150 metres, then turning southeast and proceeding for 110 metres to its junction with Tondu Road. The Order will come into force on the 29/09/2025 and will continue in force for a maximum period of six months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. The restriction shall however only apply at such time and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. 
There is no suitable alternative route available. Dated: 11/09/2025
