Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA
A229 Wilsley Pound, A262 Goudhurst Road & A229 Wilsley Green, Sissinghurst (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A229 Wilsley Pound, A262 Goudhurst Road & A229 Wilsley Green, Sissinghurst, on or after 9th October 2025 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.
A229 Wilsley Pound, A262 Goudhurst Road and A229 Wilsley Green will all be closed in the vicinity of the Wilsley Pound Roundabout, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any A229 Wilsley Pound through traffic is via A229 Angley Road, A229 Hartley Road, B2085 Glassenbury Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Cranbrook Road, B2084 Chequers Road, B2079 North Road, B2079 Summerhill, B2079 Winchet Hill, B2079 Goudhurst Road, B2079 West End, B2079 Church Green, B2079 High Street, B2079 Maidstone Road, A229 Staplehurst Road, A229 Maidstone Road, A229 Station Road, A229 High Street, A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 Knoxbridge, A229 Rocks Hill, A229 Camden Hill, A229 The Common, A229 Wilsley Pound and vice versa.

Bishopsden Road, East End, TN27 8DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bishopsden Road, East End, on or after 26th September 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Bishopsden Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bishopsden Road, Lucks Lane, Tenterden Road, Benenden Road, Goddards Green Road, Frogs Hole Lane and vice versa.
Dowding Way, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 3BW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow railway bridge examination works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dowding Way, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 25th September 2025 for up to 1 night or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via North Farm Road, Upper Grosvenor Road, Sandhurst Road, Birken Road, Liptraps Lane, Lamberts Road, Dowding Way and vice versa.
Henwood Green Road, Pembury, TN2 4LG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Henwood Green Road, Pembury, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 20. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Henwood Green Road, Canterbury Road, Hastings Road and vice versa.
Romford Road, Pembury, TN2 4JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow utility asset maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Romford Road, Pembury, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Priory Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Romford Road, Henwood Green Road, Woodside Road and vice versa.
Spelmonden Road & Ruck Lane, Horsmonden TN12 8EG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Spelmonden Road and Ruck Lane, Horsmonden, on or after 6th October 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
Spelmonden Road will be closed from the junction with Rectory Park Road to the junction with Ruck Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Ruck Lane will be closed from in the vicinity of Orchard End to the junction with Spelmonden Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Spelmonden Road, A262 Spelmonden Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A262 Horsmonden Road, A21 J A262/B2162 Roundabout, A262 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, Spelmonden Road and vice versa.
Stream Lane, Hawkhurst TN18 4RG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow tree cutting and removal works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stream Lane, Hawkhurst, on or after 6th October 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed approximately 195 metres from the junction with Conghurst Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stream Lane, Conghurst Lane, B2244 Hastings Road, Stream Lane and vice versa.
