ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS
Public Footpath No. 7 Parish of Peover Superior and Snelson
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:
That length of Public Footpath No.7 Peover Superior and Snelson, which commences at OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 7652 7312 and runs in a generally south, then east, then north east direction for approx. 1623m. to the junction with Peover Superior and Snelson footpath 8 at OSGR SJ 7730 7280.
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger posed by wooden steps in a poor condition.
The Order continues the restriction that came into force on 21st August 2025 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months, or until the works required on or adjacent to the footpath are complete.
