What is happening?

CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL

TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

Notice is hereby given that on 9 September 2025 Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council made the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will come into force on 12 September 2025.

(RING ROAD, GREAT BOUGHTON, CHESTER) (ONE WAY) ORDER 2025

The effect of the Order will make Ring Road one-way for all vehicles from its southerly junction with A41 Ring Road to its northerly junction with A41 Ring Road, in a north-westerly, then north-easterly, then south-easterly direction.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or to any provisions contained in it, on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any instruments made under it have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks of 9 September 2025 apply to the High Court for that purpose.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2025

ASHTON HAYES FP6

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on Ashton Hayes Public Right of Way FP6 from a point on Peel Hall Lane at OSGR SJ 5005 6939 heading in a south westerly direction for approximately 361 metres to a point at OSGR SJ 4978 6916 where Ashton Hayes FP6 joins Horton-Cum-Peel FP5, whilst works on or adjacent to the public footpath are undertaken.

The Order came into operation on 20 August 2025 and will continue in force for a period of six months, or until works are complete, whichever is sooner.

There is no alternative route.

This order does not prevent any pedestrians with access to premises situated on or adjacent to the public footpaths only accessible from the path or by an emergency vehicle.
