Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE AND MALLING AREA

Blackmans Lane, Hadlow, TN11 0AT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Blackmans Lane, Hadlow, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 3. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Blackmans Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 Hadlow Road East, Three Elm Lane, Blackmans Lane and vice versa.

 

Fen Pond Road, Ightham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow carriageway repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Fen Pond Road, Ightham, on or after 26th September 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 59. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Fen Pond Road, A227 Borough Green Road, A25 Sevenoaks Road, A227 Western Road, A227 Wrotham Road, A227 Borough Green Road, A227 Wrotham Bypass, A20 London Road Roundabout, Bull Lane, High Street, Kemsing Road, Fen Pond Road and vice versa.

 

Hamptons Road, Hadlow, TN11 9RF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow tree cutting and removal works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hamptons Road, Hadlow, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Brook Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hamptons Road, Carpenters Lane, A26 High Street, A26 Tonbridge Road, Ashes Lane, Higham Lane, Puttenden Road, Hamptons Road and vice versa.

 

Kent Street & Beech Road, Mereworth, ME19 4TS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kent Street and Beech Road, Mereworth, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 43 days or until the works have been completed.

Kent Street will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with A228 Malling Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kent Street, Butchers Lane, The Street, A228 Malling Road and vice versa.

Beech Road will be closed from the junction with A228 Malling Road to the junction with B2016 Seven Mile Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A228 Malling Road, The Street, B2016 Seven Mile Lane and vice versa.

 

Kiln Barn Road, Ditton ME19 6BQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kiln Barn Road, Ditton, on or after 6th October 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the railway bridge. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kiln Barn Road, New Road, A20 London Road, New Road, High Street, The Rocks Road, Easterfields, Kiln Barn Road and vice versa.

 

Kits Coty Slip Southbound Off, Bluebell Hill, ME20 7EZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow for surveying works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kits Coty Slip Southbound Off, Bluebell Hill, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 13 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from A229 Lower Bell southbound off slip to Rochester Road, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A229 Blue Bell Hill, A229 Chatham Road, Cobtree Roundabout, A229 Chatham Road, A229 Blue Bell Hill, and Kits Coty Slip Northbound Off.

 

Long Mill Lane, Crouch, TN15 8QD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Long Mill Lane, Crouch, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Nut Tree Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Long Mill Lane, Crouch Lane, A25 Maidstone Road, Quarry Hill Road, Thong Lane, Mill Lane, Plough Hill, Basted Lane, Long Mill Lane and vice versa.

 

Long Mill Lane, Plaxtol (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Long Mill Lane, Plaxtol, on or after 6th October 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with The Hurst. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Long Mill Lane, The Street, School Lane, Hamptons Road, Park Road, Oxenheath Road, The Hurst and vice versa.

 

Mote Road, Ivy Hatch TN15 0NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mote Road, Ivy Hatch, on or after 9th October 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Olde House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Cross Road, A227 Tonbridge Road, Hildenborough Road, Mote Road and vice versa.

 

Platt House Lane, Fairseat (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Platt House Lane, Fairseat, on or after 10th October 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of Fairseat Court Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Platt House Lane, Vigo Road, A227 Gravesend Road, Fairseat Lane, Platt House Lane and vice versa.

 

Plaxdale Green Road, Stansted TN15 7PW

(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Plaxdale Green Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 10th October 2025 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Old Farmhouse. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Parsons Lane, Hatham Green Lane, Plaxdale Green Road and vice versa.

 

Roughway Lane, Plaxtol TN11 9SJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow telegraph pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Roughway Lane, Plaxtol, on or after 9th October 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property named Fern Bank. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Roughway Lane, The Hurst, Oxenhoath Road, Park Road, Hamptons Road, Dunks Green Road, Roughway Lane and vice versa.

 

South Ash Road, Ash (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of South Ash Road, Ash, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Anchor and Hope Public House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via South Ash Road, Ash Lane, A20 London Road, Fawkham Road, Brands Hatch Road, Valley Road, Fawkham Road, B260 Main Road, Hartley Road, Ash Road, Chapel Wood Road, Ash Road, The Street, South Ash Road and vice versa.

 

Stanford Lane, Hadlow, TN11 0JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stanford Lane, Hadlow, on or after 25th September 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with A26 Maidstone Road, for a distance approximately 1170 metres in a South direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bells Farm Road, Martins Lane, A228 Seven Mile Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, A26 Maidstone Road and vice versa.

 

Various Roads, Chatham, ME5 9RL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow relining works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Chatham, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.

Closures will be imposed between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A229 Bluebell Hill Slip North Off will be closed from the junction of A229 Bluebell Hill to A229 Lord Lees Roundabout.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A299 Lord Lees Roundabout and A229 Bridgewood Roundabout.

A229 Bluebell Hill Slip South On will be closed from the junction of A229 Bluebell Hill to A229 Lord Lees Roundabout.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A299 Bluebell Hill Slip Link Bridge, A229 Taddington Wood Roundabout, A229 J3 Interchange A2045 Link, A2045 Walderslade Woods, A299 Bridgewood Roundabout and A299 Lord Lees Roundabout.

A229 Lord Lees Roundabout will be closed both Northbound and Southbound between A299 Lord Lees Roundabout and A229 Bridgewood Roundabout.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A299 Bluebell Hill Slip Link Bridge, A229 Taddington Wood Roundabout, A229 J3 Interchange A2045 Link, A2045 Walderslade Woods, A299 Bridgewood Roundabout and A299 Lord Lees Roundabout.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
