Sevenoaks, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SEVENOAKS AREA

Brasted Hill Road & Rectory Lane, Brasted, TN16 1NH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of access to BT boxes for desilting and gully sucking, clearing blockages and cabling, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brasted Hill Road and Rectory Lane, Brasted, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between St Martins Meadow and A25 High Street.

The alternative route is via Brasted Hill Road, Brasted Hill, Pilgrims Way, Hogtrough Hill, Station Road, Church Road, A25 High Street and vice versa.

 

Coles Lane, Brasted, TN16 1NH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of access to BT boxes for desilting, gully sucking and clearing blockages, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Coles Lane, Brasted, on or after 6th October 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length.

The alternative route is via Church Road, A25 High Street, Rectory Lane and vice versa.

 

Dibden Lane, Sevenoaks, TN13 2PB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of tree works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Dibden Lane, Sevenoaks, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 4 days between 09.30hs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Oak Lane and Dibden Farm.

The alternative route is via Oak Lane, Brittains Lane, A224 Amherst Hill, A25 London Road Roundabout/The Square/Worships Hill, B2042 Cold Arbor Road and vice versa.

 

Durant Road, Hextable, BR8 7SE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of a new gas connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Durant Road, Hextable, on or after 22nd September 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 34.

The alternative route is via Lower Road, Bower Road and vice versa.

 

Park Lane, Seal, TN15 0JX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Park Lane, Seal, on or after 6th October 2025 for up to 2 days between 09:30hrs and 14:30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Woodland Rise and Grove Road.

The alternative route is via Grove Road, Hall Hill, Stone Street, Bitchet Green Road, Park Lane and vice versa.

 

Pembroke Road, Sevenoaks, TN13 9ZY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of the installation of traffic management to facilitate the erection of a tower crane, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pembroke Road, Sevenoaks, on or after 27th September 2025 for up to 2 days between 07.00hrs and 19.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

To allow for unforeseen events and poor weather the closure is requested to cover three weekends.

Weekend closures:

27th & 28th September 2025

4th & 5th October 2025

18th & 19th October 2025

The road will be closed outside number 9.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A224 London Road, A224 Amherst Hill, A25 London Road, A25 Maidstone Road, A25 Bradbourne Vale Road, A225 St Johns Hill. A225 Dartford Road, A225 High Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will not be maintained during the works.

The diversion route is via A225 High Street, Bank Street, A224 London Road.

 

Pilgrims Way West, Dunton Green, TN14 5JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of a new connection to a SEW main, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pilgrims Way West, Dunton Green, on or after 11th October 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to The Otford Boarding Kennels.

The alternative route is via Pilgrims Way West, High Street, A225 Sevenoaks Road, A225 Otford Road, A25 Bradbourne Vale Road, A25 Maidstone Road, A224 London Road, London Road and Pilgrims Way West and vice versa.

 

Station Hill & Farleigh Bridge, East Farleigh ME15 0JG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow vegetation clearance and bridge inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Station Hill and Farleigh Bridge, East Farleigh, on or after 6th October 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of East Farleigh Bridge, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Station Hill, B2010 Lower Road, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Farleigh Hill, B2010 Tovil Hill, B2010 Tovil Road, B2010 College Road, A229 College Road, A229 Mill Street, A229 Bishops Way, A20 The Broadway, A20 Tonbridge Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, Farleigh Lane and Farleigh Bridge.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Farleigh Bridge, Farleigh Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, A20 Terrace Road, A20 London Road, A20 The Broadway, A229 The Broadway, A229 St Peters Bridge, A229 Fairmeadow, A229 Bishops Way, A229 Palace Avenue, A229 Lower Stone Street, A229 Upper Stone Street, A229 Sheals Crescent, A229 Hayle Road, B2010 College Road, B2010 Tovil Road, B2010 Tovil Hill, B2010 Farleigh Hill, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Lower Road and Station Hill.

 

Stone Street, Seal, TN15 0LW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stone Street, Seal, on or after 9th October 2025 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Catmint Cottage for approx. 150m in a westerly direction.

The alternative route is via Stone Street Road, High Cross Road, A227 Tonbridge Road/Bates Hill/The Street/Borough Green Road, A25 Ightham Bypass/Sevenoaks Road/Maidstone Road/High Street, Park Lane, Grove Road, Hall Hill, Stone Street and vice versa.

 

Yorks Hill, Ide Hill (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Kent County Council intends to make an Order for the safety of the public whilst an event is being held on the highway to temporarily prohibit the use of Vehicles on:-

Yorks Hill, Ide Hill from Gracious Lane to outside Yorks Hill Farm

The alternative route is via Gracious Lane, B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill/Ide Hill Road and Scallops.

The Order will become effective on 12th October 2025 between 08.00hrs and 13.00hrs The restrictions/prohibitions specified in this notice will apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs in operation.

Nothing in the Order will apply to:

•   Any Vehicle being used for Ambulance purposes, Coastguard/RNLI, Fire Brigade or Police services.

•   Anything done by a Statutory Undertaker vehicle in connection with an emergency repair.

•   Anything done with the permission or at the direction of Event Organisers or a Police Constable in Uniform.
