A32 Wickham Road & North Hill, Fareham - Temporary restrictions due to development works

What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road. 
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of North Hill between its junction with Kiln Road and its junction with A32 Wickham Road. 
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A32, Old Turnpike.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of A32 Wickham Road between its junction with North Hill and its junction with M27 on/off slip roads.  ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A27, A3051, A334.
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN: no vehicle is permitted to turn right proceeding from A32 Wickham Road onto  Old Turnpike Serpentine Road
TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION – To impose a 30 mph temporary speed restriction on the following road: A32 Wickham Road, Fareham between its junction with Pook Lane and its junction with North Hill. DURATION OF ORDER: from 29th September 2025 for a period of 18 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the restrictions will be required at various times during the works over the next 18 months. Restrictions will be signposted)  The restrictions have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Blanchard Wells Ltd to carry out development works.
