What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL

(FOOTPATH NO. 556006 IN THE PARISH OF MILNTHORPE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Oakmere Homes to carry out the installation of infrastructure and associated earthworks pursuant to a housing development (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along footpath 556006 in the Parish of Milnthorpe between grid references: 349940, 481846 and 349999, 480886.

There is no suitable alternative route available for pedestrians.

The Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025 as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed and may continue in force for a period of up to six months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
