What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
ASHFORD AND FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREAS
B2080 Station Road, Appledore & Snargate. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2025
To allow rail inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of B2080 Station Road, Appledore & Snargate from 12th October 2025, for up to one day between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 20m either side of Appledore level crossing, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2080 Station Road, Rhee Wall Road, Brenzett Corner Roundabout, Rhee Wall, A259 J A2070/B2080 Roundabout, Rhee Wall Roundabout, A2070 Rhee Wall To Ashford Road, A2070 From J A2070/B2080 Roundabout To J A2042, A2070 From Ashford Road To District Boundary, B2067 Ashford Road, Hamstreet Bypass, Ashford Road Junction With Bypass Link Road To Hamstreet, B2067 Warehorne Road, Kenardington Road, D1305 11 Acre Wood Lane Junction With B2067 To D1291 Junction With D1305 11 Acre Wood Lane, Brook Street, Woodchurch Road, B2080 Appledore Road, Reading Street, Tenterden Road, The Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
