St Catherines Hill and Higher Backway - Temporary Road Closure To Fibre Cable Splicing Works

Temporary Closure of St Catherines Hill and Higher Backway
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along St Catherines Hill - from the junction with Higher Backway to the junction with High Street and Higher Backway - from the junction with St Catherines Hill, north-eastwards for a distance of 90 metres. A total distance of 224 metres.
This Order will enable SAS Utilities to carry out fibre cable splicing works on behalf of Gigaclear.
The Order becomes effective on 25th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 29th September 2025 and last until 30th September 2025 between the hours of 22:00 - 05:00 for a total of 1 night.
