Sutton Montis Road - Temporary Road Closure To Underground Cabling Works

What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Sutton Montis Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Sutton Montis Road - from the junction with Marston Road and from the junction with High Street, eastwards for a total distance of 1108 metres.

This Order will enable Openreach to carry out underground cabling works.

The Order becomes effective on 25th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 1st October 2025 and last until 3rd October 2025 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 3 days.
