Gainsborough Way - Temporary Road Closure To Ducting Works

Temporary Closure of Gainsborough Way
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Gainsborough Way - from the outside of property number 14 Gainsborough Way to outside property number 2 Gainsborough Way. A total distance of 28 metres.
This Order will enable Dare Utilities Ltd to carry out ducting works on behalf of Openreach.
The Order becomes effective on 25th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months.
The works are expected to commence on 3rd October 2025 and last until 7th October 2025 between the hours 00:00 - 23:59 (Highway to be clear Saturday and Sunday) for total of 3 days.
There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.
