Bennett Road, Crumpsall Ward - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic For Works
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC145556080: The City of Manchester (Bennett Road, Crumpsall Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Bennett Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: St Mary’s Hall Road, Crumpsall Lane, Polygon Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate the disconnection and remove old link box, and to install new underground link box following by jointing. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 22nd September 2025 to 26th September 2025. The order shall come into operation on 22nd September 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
