What is happening?

 

Notice of extension of an Order temporarily closing Public

Footpath AB12 in the Parish of Tenterden

In The Borough of Ashford

Kent County Council

(Public Footpath AB12)
(Prohibition Of Traffic) Temporary Order 2024

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

The Secretary of State for Transport has directed that the Order made by Kent County Council on the 20 September 2024 and subsequently extended to 20 September 2025, the effect of which was to prohibit all traffic from Public Footpath AB12 has been extended for a further 6 months, until the 20 March 2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.

The path is closed from the Appledore Road for approximately 250 metres.

The alternative route will be signed for the duration of the closure.

Notice of the making of an Order to temporarily close Public Footpath AE115 in the Parish of Wye with Hinxhill

In The District of Ashford

Kent County Council

Public Footpath AE115 (Prohibition Of Traffic) Temporary Order 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath AE115, between its junction with Public Footpath AE178 and Public Footpath AE117 from 23 September 2025.

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months.

The path is to be closed while repairs are undertaken to a bridge and because works are planned on or near it.

Notice of the making of an Order to temporarily close Public Footpath MR17 in the Parish of Wouldham

In The Borough of Tonbridge & Malling

Kent County Council

(Public Footpath MR17) (Prohibition Of Traffic) Temporary Order 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath MR17 between New Court Road and Old Church Road from 22 September 2025

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen 31 October 2025 The path is closed because of repairs to the embankment

An alternative route is available via Public Bridleway MR10.
