Temporary Closure of Somers Hill To Mells Green, Little Green, Fairview, Church Lane and Top Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Somers Hill To Mells Green - from the junction with Mells Green, south-westwards for a distance of 291 metres; Little Green - from 46 metres south west of the junction with Service Street Of Little Green, south- westwards for a distance of 99 metres; Fairview - from the junction with Selwood Street, north-eastwards for a distance of 22 metres; Church Lane - from the junction with Elm Lane to Park Hill, northwards for a distance of 33 metres and Top Lane - from the junction with Fairview to Park Hill, southwards for a distance of 17 metres. A total distance of 462 metres. This Order will enable Voneus to carry out phased works (as and when signed on site) to rectify several LA defects on behalf of H G Comms Ltd.

The Order becomes effective on 11th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 15th September 2025 and last until 19th September 2025 between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00 for a total of 5 days.
